Introduction: The SMC panel is being made by processing SMC( Sheet Molding Compound which is made from the food grade unsaturated polyester resin with filler, acatalyzer, aparting material and reinforced with chopped fiberglass) with glassfiber mat in press moldings by high pressure and heat.

Application: Water tank is widely used in public water supply system in industry,buildings for drinking and fire fighting. SMC/GRP water tank is more and more popular all around the world now for the excellent quality and advanced lasting capability.
SMC/GRP water tank enjoys the good characters of high water quality, no leakage, rustproof, light weight, beautiful looking, long life and easy to install, also with good performance like stretch-proof, bend resistance and anti-aging. Sealed through special seal with glue, and no toxic, water resistance and small transfiguration. The water standard for Living( GB5749-85) meets the national water quality standard.
Structure:
Modular panels shall be assembled with bolts and reinforced with steel members internally or externally. It shall have enough strength to withstand the expected load including hydrostatic pressure. The sealing material is made by specialized non-toxic. EPDM tape which has stable characteristics to sustain in the water tank no leakage happened.
Each tank shall have at least 1 sealed access manhole with lockable cover (min dia 600mm) The access manhole should have a stainless steel hinged cover and be sealed to prevent the dust into tank.

1.Environment Protection Re-Use
SMC panel type water tanks are assembled by bolts & nuts. This joints are sealed with special rubber gaskets. The unique leakage sealing method is different to the conventional hand lay-up FRP water tanks which are sealed by applying fibreglass mat and resin to the joints. Thus the SMC water tanks can be dismantled and re-assembled again without difficulty.
